At Davenies, our vision and mission is to Engage, Inspire and Challenge each child that attends the School. This enables every boy to make the most of their preparatory years and begin their educational journey in exactly the right way.
Davenies is a purposeful IAPS day school for boys aged 4-13 where, from their earliest years, children are encouraged to relish the learning experience.
The strength of Davenies is, and always will be, that we focus on the character and the learning attributes of the boys: their enthusiasm, curiosity, courage, perseverance and their ability to reflect. We have a Davenies Code that fosters kindness, helpfulness, politeness, honesty and respectfulness.
Davenies delivers a broad, high quality, aspirational education, focusing on the whole person and based on huge variety and all-round excellence. Academic matters are at the heart of what we do; our outstanding, forward-thinking teachers have an excellent track record of preparing children for life at the country’s leading senior schools and beyond.
Sport, Music, Drama, Art, and Trips are an essential part of what we offer, and they all complement what goes on in the classroom.
We understand that participation is such an important concept; taking part, in whatever the activity, develops young people. Therefore, we promote positive attitudes to learning and encourage contribution to school and a sense of service, so that the boys develop into determined, courteous, confident, thoughtful, capable and independent young men.
At Davenies, as we look to the future, we are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for our pupils. In a fast-evolving world we equip the pupils to be able to seize these opportunities and thrive, developing in them effective communication, collaboration and problem solving skills whilst fostering their determination, confidence and personality.

Admissions
Whether it is a start in our intake at Reception or Year 7, we take great pride in offering the warmest of welcomes to any potential new boys and their families to Davenies.
We are a non-selective school that focusses on the needs of every potential pupil and their family. Our aim is to ensure that each boy will flourish in Davenies’ excellent learning environment, but, at the same time, to ensure that the School is the right fit for each individual too.
From booking a visit to the School, to experiencing a taster day, to finding out how places are confirmed, we know you will have many questions about the Admissions process at Davenies. We encourage parents, therefore, to contact our admissions team, with any questions that you may have – no matter how big or small.
