To bring their time at Davenies to a close, our Year 8 leavers embarked upon their Leavers Programme with enthusiasm and spirit. Over the last four weeks the boys have been engaged, inspired and challenged through a multitude of trips and activities. The variance of the programme has given the boys the chance to hone their life skills, parents will be pleased to know that shirt ironing and changing a tyre were on the agenda, we hope they took heed! Participating in charity work, the Three Peaks of the Chilterns challenge was a physical task, teaching resilience whilst reminding us of the importance of giving back. Trips out took in some of our wonderful surroundings with days spent in Cliveden, Windsor Great Park and punting in Oxford whilst days in industry were spent at RAF Northolt and the Tesla factory.
Many more an activity helped encourage the boys on their next stepping stone in life whilst giving them the opportunity to spend quality time with friends. We certainly hope that their last few weeks at Davenies have cemented wonderful memories of their time spent at the school and has prepared them to tackle the next steps in their education and in life with confidence.
Good luck boys.
