Junior Sports Day

A week on and the sun shone, thank goodness! All year 3 and 4 boys had a fun afternoon showing off their athleticism, skill and sportsmanship. In Year 4, Nate Morrison scooped an unprecedented six gold medals whilst new school records were set by Luca Dean in the final of the Year 3 75m and Jamie Southwell-Sander in the Year 3 Vortex Throw. The new ‘Marble Run’ Relay and the ‘Pairs’ Relay, both unrehearsed, challenged all the boys’ listening skills and provided a competitive race that was as much about teamwork as it was about running fast. The obstacle course, with the much anticipated ‘run the gauntlet’ section, was a colourful and fast moving throng of activity in which all the boys did really well to get through unscathed! Congratulations to all the boys for their participation and for entering into the spirit of the afternoon with such enthusiasm. There were some really excellent competitions and many wonderful moments that demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and in-House camaraderie.
