Year 1 have been scientists for the day at the Lookout Discovery Centre in Bracknell.
The boys explored how gravity works, hot air balloons rising, magnets attracting and repelling, light, colour and shadow. We were treated to an amazing show which involved sodium polyacrylate, hydrogen, water and soap. The boys witnessed how bubbles are formed as well as some fire bubbles which were created with hydrogen gas. As part of the Lookout the children climbed the lookout tower involving 88 steps.
It was a hands-on, fun science day.
