The Division 10 Swimming season 2014-15 reached its climax with separate A and B galas at Berkhamsted and Haberdashers’ Boys respectively. All eight boys’ schools attended, each with swimmers from Years 4 – 6.
Both final galas were run under strict ASA rules and there were several key disqualifications over the two evenings on stroke technicalities, early starts and relay changeovers. I am delighted to report, however, that the combined A and B scores from both the Year 4 and Year 5 age groups put Davenies top of the league. The Year 4 trophy is retained for the third consecutive year. The Year 6 boys more than held their own against strong Berkhamsted and Habs’ Boys teams, but in the end disqualifications cost us a top three spot.
All the boys who have represented the school in a Division 10 Gala can be very proud of their efforts; a great deal of progress has been made with their competitive swimming since the start of this year. Well done.
