[C]ross-Country continues to flourish at Davenies, despite a lack of woodland, hill or dale to spice up those
'[R]unning is fun’ might be our mantra here.
[O]ver 40 enthusiastic participants attend the Tuesday
morning Running Club.
[S]purred on by a hot chocolate and croissant reward, these sessions take place
throughout the year (rain, snow or shine).
[S]tamina workouts can be beneficial to boys trying to increase their
overall fitness – the 1st XV are actively encouraged to attend!
[C]ross-Country fixtures are regular events in our
[O]pportunities to run in Open Events include the Misbourne Fun Run (up to Year 6), the
Phoenix Harriers Inter-Schools Cross-Country event at Hughenden Park (Years 5 – 8) and the Penn Fun Run (All
[U]p and down hills, through streams and muddy puddles can really be your thing as the Eagle House and
Caldicott fixtures test the most able and can bring out the best in boys who do not necessarily shine on the
[N]iche-end runners cannot doubt that Malvern College provides a dramatic backdrop to the IAPS
Cross-Country Championships where finishing in the top twenty is a mighty achievement considering that over
250 runners set off.
